Are you an astronomer?
SF fan?
I just read an old Alastair Reynolds book where either Phobos or Deimos was a worm hole transit point.
It did not survive the plot........................

No, not an astronomer, and haven't read much SF for a while. I did take courses in astronomy and had a summer job in the astronomy department at Cornell where Carl Sagan worked..
I found his abandoned Corvair by happenstance and picked it up all those years ago. My Dad restored it.
Sagan had the Phobos license plate on his Porsche 914 that he owned after the Corvair, I don't know if he had that same plate on the Corvair.
When I got the GT3, it had to be Deimos.

@911-AL Lovely spec! I'd love to see the headliner and the button location for the footwell lighting

I don’t know why, since it’s not a “beauty shot”, but I like this pic I snapped the other day at my Mom’s house.

You must be talking about "The Great Wall of Mars". A great read. I believe that Reynolds never liked the idea of worm holes or faster-than-light travel.

If true, the short story was about a man named Clavain who went down to Mars to try to stop a war with a group of humans called Cojoiners.

The moon was Phobos and it was where a star ship was hidden inside the moon so the Cojoiners could escape.

The character Clavain was also in books two and three of Reynolds' Revelation Space series. Yes, I read science fiction (write it as well) and Reynolds is one of my favorite authors.

Marv, when will your awesome 6-3 begin space travel? You are a constant, and a hero of ours. Thanks for all the years of input here.
