Wow, no wonder you got over asking for your 6-3. I'd buy a car from you any day. That's beautiful work. Which car is it?

My car didn't get over asking, a similar car that was listed on here recently did. Mine is not for sale

This is my 996 GT3

you're not truly OCD, if you were, you'd be freaking out about the missing rotor retaining screw....I am!

took me roughly 6 hours to do two front wheel wells, between texting friends and making coffee! can't wait to do rears this week!

I will be doing this when I get my car back this week, have been meaning to attack it for ages. Would you mind sharing technique and products used? I have a large wheel well brush but not sure which cleaning agent to use. Was thinking non-acid wheel cleaner for the brake calipers and hub and ordinary de-greaser + high pressure cleaner for everything else?

Great job BTW

I wouldn't at all.

I drive the crap out of my cars, and then I take exceptional care of them after Im done driving. i don't hate on people who do differently.

Mine gets 2 concours level details per year...I've got a first place class trophy to prove it.

However, it gets a "few" track miles in between those details. It'll look like this by July.

always use the least agressive product possible first. Start out with good old soap and water. then move up to something like simple green or a natural citrus based cleaner / degreaser. I would avoid the heavy degreasers unless absolutely necessary. I did have to use bug / tar remover on some of the stubborn rubber you still see remaining in that picture of mine...that picture was just after the first couple of passes.

I've got 304 brushes that I use down there depending on how tight the areas can get.

are we still talking about wheel well cleaning? or did we stray into a subject I don't want to know about?

I wish I had the patience to do a full concours level detail. I barely take the time to wash the car! In fact, you can probably look at it once I'm done and see where I started and finished....I take my time when I start, and lose interest about halfway through. To be honest, I can't remember the last time it got washed...and why bother? We drive it just about every day and with all the rain we keep having lately, it would be dirty as soon as I finished. Besides...it too cold to wash it. So it stays dirty.

Trust me, I LOVE it when it's completely clean...I just don't want to do it.
