would be interested in hearing what you did to the 6.2 to make it better!
+1

People always say an RS performs better than a GT3 that has been modded to over and above RS specs but I never understood it. Would love to hear your thoughts.

My track car was very well set from previous owner and I just added to the pleasure.

Car has

' 997cup exhaust
' MCS adjustable suspension
' cup shifter and cables
' roll cage
' Sparco race seats
' cup steering wheel
' light weight flywheel
' cup front lip
' RS rear wing
' guards diff LSD
' OZ wheels with Nittos
' race keeper data system

Obviously not good on the road and would never pass MOT or similar test in Europe. Has a tag in Florida which is fun because every now and then I drive it to Auto cross. Always trailer it to track.

That is near identical spec to mine, I also have the cup ring and pinion and rose jointed suspension. I haven't been in a 6RS but mine is a brute, pulls hard and very lively. Not good on the street in an understatement but agree lots of fun lol

So much fun and rewarding car to drive. Not really fair to compare a stock RS with beasts like the ones we have created.

I'm looking to add lexan rear window and cf hood. Nice to shave a bit of weight of high up in the car.

I have a 07 GT3 lightly setup for track duty. Recaro SPG XL on sliders, Schroth Profi II harnesses, OEM white club sport bar, GMG muffler bypass, 18x9/18x12 CCW with Pirelli DH slicks, Hawk DTC 60 brake pads, Motul 600 fluid, alignment, pinned coolant lines. I love it, probably won't go any further except maybe a cup wing and cup front lip.

Sounds well set up!

I have wrighthwood slotted rotors with black pagid pads up front and stock rotors with red pagids rear. 996 doesn't seem to be using a lot of rear brakes.
