well if it makes you feel any better, i ripped my front splitter off trying to get on/off the ferry this last weekend. the ferry workers cringed more than i did

 

it is okay... it was just a splitter... only a matter of time before I ripped it off...

So the weird thing was, once I realized I was going off... I put both feet in and slid off and high centered on a mound of dirt (lovely smooth runoff) and the engine just cut out and when I tried to restart I had a warning on the computer that said something "failure" and had an engine icon...

trackside deduction was that I triggered the immobiliser system -- which I guess is there if you get in a wreck, it cuts off everything...

tried "hard reset" by disconnecting battery -- no dice

dealer plugged in and had the car fired up in a minute... it was the DME relay... failed... weird...

oh well... it could have been much worse...

my fist day on MPSC -- awesome!

Hoosiers are next... and a new splitter of course.
