The one from FVD is a very simple design. It is laid in two halves and crudely joined together. It is clearly a copy and not a great one at that. As I said before the part should cost $75 max. Any decent body shop can make it look perfect. Had I known there was a less expensive one available I would have bought it. I just hope it isn’t a copy of the copy.

Default Cargraphic makes one too

I bought the FVD unit last summer to go along with the RS bits I have. I took it to my body shop and they said it was crap. They were concerned with the seem between the two halves of the piece eventually causing cosmetic problems. I've held off putting it on, and have now found a Cargraphic piece which I suspect will be better quality. It's a little pricier, but less than CF price. Here's the link:

Well, even though I started this thread, and had decided to buy the GMG cf piece, I'm going to take my own advice (and that of many others), and spend the $ on track time. Hell, I can hardly keep the car on the track now. Gaining a few extra hp might just push me off.

That website just has Cargraphic logos but no REAL contact info and when I checked with Cargraphic, the ONLY authorized US distributor was Road Sport Supply. Does that sound right?

Visiting a site like the one you posted makes me very learly when they have ZERO contact info. Not to mention alot of their website is "under construction".

Dell, I haven't talked with them, was wondering the same things myself. DS tape sure would make it easy to return to stock. Was hoping it would add more airflow to the engine compartment not only for cooler intake but running temp and hot spots. Even though my car has never run hot just reduce the cringe effect while tracking when the temp is 95. Guess it can't hurt at that price.

That's a cool day at Thunderhill in the summertime. Mooty and I have that beat by over 20 degrees.

The irony is that those are the best days for GT3's. By the afternoon, most of the other cars have gone home (not all by choice) and I'm turning my fastest times of the day and the car's not even running hotter than usual.

Holger, anything ambient temp over 100 is brutal. You guys must be die hards! Tribute to Porsche it's never run hot! Road Atlanta has been 96+ for me and that's as hot as it needs to be...

It was 115+ in the shade. When the wind blew, it was like being in a convection oven. You have to guzzle Gatorade or water when you get out of the car after a session and you're completely soaked in sweat from head to toe. But the car didn't give a crap about the brutal heat...

I love it when it is hot. Sounds stupid but taking the helmet off and my head looks like I stuck it in a bucket of water makes me feel like I went faster........... TH in July!!!!!

Everyone should do a triple-digit temp day at least once. It makes the days in the 90's feel downright pleasant...

So? What's the word. Has anybody checked them out or bought one?

Per my earlier msg, I opted not to buy. But from comments, I'd go with the GMG cf unit.
