Default wheels to GT3

I'd like to buy the set of wheels to GT3. It could be porsche GT3 design or another like BBS. I prefer second hand wheels because of the price.
Let me know if someone has some for sale.

thanks

thanks a lot for suggestion. How is the quality of CCW in comparison with e.g. BBS? Are they light as well?

+1 Been using CCWs since about '97, first on my RX-7, now on my GT3. Strong and light. Of course, don't have the "name" of BBS or Kinesis or HRE, but. IMO, just as good. They can be had in two versions, track or street. The track will not accommodate a center cap, and are not as finished as the street version, but plenty good-looking.

The C14s that Holger linked. Not sure of the exact weight. Had the Classics on the RX-7.

I have a set of CCW Classic 3-piece race wheels. Search for "CCW Classic" and your should find pics of them in other threads. They are a bargain compared to anything else out there. The nice thing about them is they come any width/offset for the same price. I had John make me a set of 18x9.0" fronts and 18x11.0" rears. The C14s are only 1-2 lbs lighter for the same size, but you are more restricted on the available sizes and offsets/backspaces. The C14s are also a few hundred more.

He had the Clear Annodized wheel centers and rim halves in stock, so they were built and to my door in 4 days. I have the race version, which has a 2 lb lighter center than the street version with Cadmium plated bolts and no provision for center caps. The race version has additional holes drilled next to the rim-half bolts and between the lug holes. The fronts weigh 18 lbs and the rears are 20 lbs. From the sets of race tires I have run on these wheels, I have run a 235/40 and a 255/35 in front with no rubbing issues. Out back I run a 295/30 and 315/30s.

I've never had CCW's, but seen many at the track. I don't think you can beat the quality for the price. And why buy used (which I did and it worked out fine when I was clueless about CCW) when you can get these for about the same price or just a little bit more? If I were in your shoes, I'd get the CCW's and be done with it.

Don't forget about Volk TE37 at the tire rack. I got a set in silver for my Yellow GT3 and they look really nice, weigh 2-4 lbs less than stock (and are forged to boot). Price is also quite reasonable.

thanks to all for the input. It's very handful. Now I must gather all costs. The CCW seems to be very good for this price indeed. Now I only wait for Carnewl's offer.

What wonder me more is the size of rear tires on 11J wheel: 315/30. Is it possible in the narrow boody?

i dont know your currency exchg rate to euro's. but BBS motorsport wheels in USA are around $6k USD, and CCW are $3k USD, just for rough comparison of cost.

i run CCW, they are light and very strong, but the finish isn't as pretty as BBS, fikse and the like. some cares about that, some dont. so dont be surprised.

i was told that 315 will fit 11" wheels.

i was also told by the owner of CCW that 12" CCW C14 or C10 (they are now shipping these) will fit narrow body cars (GT3 was being discussed when he said that).

Not only does 315 fit the 11" wheel but fits the narrow body just fine. I have run 315's in several different tires on both my stock wheels and my BBS Motorsport wheels.

I paid 2500 for the Volks new and they weigh 18 and 20 pounds, f/r. Any reason more people aren't using these? (They have a bright silver paint finish that is high quality).

Wheel weights not staying put in a track environment.

CCW's are 300 more and far better made.
try hitting the apex berm for a year, you know what i mean. CCW is the ONLY wheel i haven't yet destroyed. i rebuild my fikses every year, got tired of it (the fikses were never off track, ever, i just use all the apex and track out berms)

also, i am not sure you can spec width and offset as you could with CCW. he doesn't build them until you order, so he can do whatever you want.
