Default tire marks

if you track your GT3, the underside of your side skirt must have a LOT of tire marks. miracle wash or 3m adhesive remover wont cut it. put the car on jack stand, get a orbital polisher and fine grade polish and put some force on the polisher, EVERYTHING came off... just thought i share.

Since nobody can see it, I leave mine there to remind me of the track when I am stuck in my garage cleaning the car, etc., on a non-track weekend

Whew, man, that's a lot of work. I agree with you tho on the miracle wash. Tried that on the recommendations here and it doesn't cut it. FWIW, I found a can of Gunk bug and tar remover on the back shelf among the car care product collection I've amassed. Not sure what's in that stuff but it does the job. Must be good - smells extremely toxic Probably not the best for the paint so I only use it in the difficult spots that aren't very visible.

Who out there smiles when finding rolled up tire stuck in the wheel wells or melted to the wheels. It makes my day.

It's all fun and games until you get so much gummed-up tire debris stuck to the wheel that it throws off the wheel's balance. Happens to me nearly every track day.

With all of the paint chips on the front of the car, I can't imagine taking the time to clean the rubber off of the skirts. It's a driver not a garage queen. I prefer to think of the imperfections as patina!

3M adhesive tar and wax removal takes those rubber marks right off but as the name suggests the wax comes off too.

I'm in the Mooty camp. Drive the snot out of the car on track, but take care of her at home. A good front 3M bra for the chips and a good bath after the track. Make her look good. In fact, I've been meaning to get to the tire marks for a while, but haven't had the time (thanks for the tip). It's the off season, and I really want to wax her up, but I've got to put up Christmas lights and get these projects done for work before deadlines. It's tough, but a good looking car is a happy car.
