Default post-warranty coverage

My '04 GT3's warranty will soon expire.

I'd like to get aftermarket coverage. I contacted
Fidelity Warranty Services; they offer a range of packages, depending upon what elements are covered. I'm thinking of getting powertrain (engine/trans/diff), electrical, A/C, front suspension.

This would cost $1782 for 1 year; $2416 for 3 years.

Comments about aftermarket coverage in general?
Anybody know Fidelity Warranty Services?

or should I self-insure, ie non-insure??

note: I got burnt real bad on my wife's Audi. I spent $3K on aftermarket coverage and within 6 months the company up-bellied. I had never put in a claim and lost the entire premium.

Mileage limitations? Deductables? Track exclusions?

A friend of mine blew up the motor in his GT2 and Fidelity stepped to the plate and paid for the repairs. The service writer at my Porsche dealer feels Fidelity is tops.
