Red car, black wheels?
This weekend I joined a great event at the Hockenheim Raceway in Germany.
On display was a Tequipment 997 GT3 (next to a stunning GT2 ) which looked gorgeous. Black car, black wheels. Some of the plastic parts of the interiour were painted in orange, orange stitching and an orange stripe on the wheels.
Well, my car is red and a 996, but I liked the idea with the wheels. The whole rim of the 997 is painted in (glossy) black and there is a 15mm (~ 3/4") wide, circular ring on the outside.
Does anybody have a picture of a red 996 GT3 with black, stock rims? I want to try with Photoshop how this looks like on my car (of course with a guards red ring). This could be a nice project for winter...
Regards Wolfgang

They both look great!
I need to play with Photoshop a bit to find out what looks better:
- red car, black wheels with silver outer part (similar to the RS design)
- red car, all black wheels with a red ring (as in the 997GT3 picture)
The first one has the benefit that it's far easier to make, as you don't have to remove the tire and it's only one color to spray.

I like that one! I have artic silver and painted the wheels riveria blue (using the RS pattern) and it gets compliments at the track. I only did the track wheels (to make it go faster).
