****SCAN DOWN A FEW POSTS TO SEE THE LINKS FOR THE ARTICLES......THANKS TO CHUCK FOR HELPING OUT!!!****
Excellence Magazine issues from August 99 and June 03 reporting on first drives of the MkI and MkII GT3. Very cool articles looking back on impressions of the car before we got to make our own!
I'd be happy to scan the articles if anybody is interested in the reading of it.
Enjoy!

Dell,
I'm dying to compare the Mk1 and Mk2 numbers. Back then the newer car got just 20 Hp more and it became heavier. However, the acceleration, braking and handling numbers were improved a lot on the newer car.
With the 997 GT3 the horsepower numbers went up by 35 Hp (instead of 20 Hp). The performance numbers are not that far apart.
I would like to confirm my conspiracy theory about Porsche going soft, and Marketing doing the good job.
