Default Corner weight

Im thinking of doing a corner weight on my gt 2. I have a friend i can borve the scales of.

The cars weight is 3100lbs , what numbers should i go for? I have read 600/600 front and 1000/1000 rear. How does this sound is this something to shot for or is this complete off ?

it will never come out anywhere close to that perfect...besides you have a driver on one side...when you are out of the car there will be some bias to the passenger side...put half a tank of fuel in also...do a search...there is a plethora of info on corner balancing...it is a complex procedure, especially if you haven't done it before...best left to a racing shop...good luck

Since you run mostly short-medium tracks turning clockwise you should have a bias on one side.

Your overarching aim should be to minimise the difference in weight between the two diagonals.

1. Measure the dagonals - LF+RR and RF+LR
2. measure the difference between the diagonals = ABS((LF+RR)-(RF+LR))
3. your goal is to adjust the heights until the result of step 2 is 0.

Before beginning the process, fill your gasoline tank half full, put weights in the driver's seat equivalent to your own (or get a friend to sit in there with the computer you are using).

If you find you cannot balance the doiagonals and you are looking at moving components within the car, such as the battery, your aim should be to move anything towards the centre of the car and to locate it as low as possible.

You should aim to keep weight out of the extreme ends of the car.

btw...the first thing you will have to do after corner balance is have it alligned...you also might want to record the ride height on all four corners before you start making adjustments...good luck

Quite correct - always write everything down before changing anything. Also Release the anti roll bars before beginning the exercise.
