Default GT3 Hyway Gas Mileage

recent trips got me just over 27 mpg on the highway at 80 mph.

If I backed it down to 70 it went to about 29 mpg, but 60 mph didn't seem to improve the mileage.

All of those runs were done with the cruise control on and no horse play just to see what I could get.

For a car that is rated at significantly more consumption I was pretty shocked and pleasantly surprised.

Are those numbers in line with you guys see?

I see about 25-27 on the hwy (with no cruise). I've never seen 29 at 70 except on a long slight downhill right after resetting my computer.

25 is the best I've seen between San Francisco and Los Angeles on I5. But that was without cruise control, and some sprints to 120+. I've recently had cc installed, but doubt if I'll be doing that I5 cruise again - too damn boring!

that's "porsche" play not horse play (try saying that fast three times)...and it's driving these cars the way they were meant to be driven, with all due respect to the gendarmes

I can honestly say that I have NEVER checked my mpg except for at the track so I can calculate gas spent per session in gallons.

I plan on taking my GT3 on the road to Road Atlanta next weekend and anticipate very good gas mileage....at least until I get it on the track!

The Excursion gets 18mpg on the hwy without towing anything. I'm curious to see what it gets pulling my car.

I'm really surprised to hear this car gets such good hwy mileage. I've never checked it on the hwy, but around town, it only gets around 17. Of course, I don't drive it like a grandma either.

30 + mpg at 60 to 65 mph flat freeway travel without cruise control, just moving along.

I was coming back from a charity golf tournament in Valencia last year and I was tired and crossing the desert late at night I used 6th gear (the HORROR!!) and was doing a hundred and my computer said I was getting 29 MPG. Even if that was wrong its still a great car and gets dang good gas mileage for a 400hp car. Just amazing!!

That's what I said until I did the I5 trips. Had it retrofitted. Glad to have it.

I only calculate real world MPG at fill up and ignore about what the computer says. Best I've seen is 25 on the highway. I have cruise, but never use it.

Filled it up this weekend and got 14.1 (mostly city, some highway). It's usually around 15 for me.
