Hi.
I'm trying to lighten my car and considering GT3 seats. I
searched on Ebay, and found a company in Taiwan making
copies of GT3 seats for about $1,800 delivered. Has anyone
gotten/seen these? PM me if you have info please!

The 'real deal' CF OEM seats are like $6000!

Imagine Auto also has a set of CF Replica seats for $2100.00...any information on those?

Try the 996 version, the CF OEM you refer to are likely to be the ones from the CGT / 997 GT3RS/CS

The real ones are around 3000$ any dealer can sell themto you, try suncoastporsche.com 's parts dept.

I cannot stress how important it is not to go for cheap immitations, your life is on the line.

I believe these are the fiber glass with aftermarket carbon, as I don't think the factory ever made that generation seat with cf.

i know and i stated that CF GT3 seats (like those from gert) are $6k or so USD.
but the "usual" fiber glass GT3 seats are $3k or less.


the link of the taiwanese seat that's posted originally is not real carbon fiber.

bottom line, get the real seats, fiber glass or CF.

the knock offs are not FIA approved or anything else... they're not something we would install. I've seen them and there's some suspect stuff for sure.

Exactly, they are fiberglass with the top layer in CF for looks.
