They do get greasy if pushed - like any street tire, and they are noisy - but they are the single best compromise for us "arrive and drive" crowd. Especially if you don't want to swap wheels and tires..

I almost installed these. Talk to Wheel Enhancement in Culver CIty. Not N rated and corners may be too square to fit. I went with the standard, PS2s though love Yoko's and have for years. They make great tires.

Have put about 300 street miles on the Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 tires, and I've gotta say I like these tires, a lot. So far on the street, they seem to have as much grip as the old Cup tires I took off, partly because they were heat cycled and partly because they never really got up to full operating temperature on the street. They're also more consistent, and performance is less effected by road temp. They are nosier and less comfortable than the PS2s, but the handling and precision is spot on even with full depth tread and exactly what I was looking for.

I have had them on my car for several months. They seem great so far...yes, noiser than the PS2 and the ride is a bit stiffer IMHO.

However, so far they seem great. I have yet to push them at the tracl, so who knows. My PS2's would grease up after a couple of good hot laps so I will be interested how these compare.

I'm using the car mainly for auto-x and a few track days. I am hoping they will last a bit longer than the ps2's. Also being able to swap from left to right and vice versa should help. I seem to be just wearing out the outside shoulder.

no worries on fit, right? I read these Yoko's have squarer corners that may be an issue with the front wheel well. Not N rated too, if that matters. A pal of mine who races advised me against these after I had my order placed, whicn WHeel Enhancement was willing to do, and accomodate, as they do not stock these tires. Please continue to provide your exp on these tires over their life.

Don't know anything about fitment issues. Can anyone comment on this ?
I am running some negative camber so maybe it won't be an issue

I am at stock camber/toe, etc. right now (got tired of replacing tires every few months). NO rubbing or any other fitment issues whatsoever....

edit: I will try to snap a few pics tonight and post to this thread. key word: TRY. No promises! heh

edit #2: Important to note on fitment. I have NOT run these at the track. Thus, under heavy load, maybe they will rub a bit, I dunno. But I can tell you that I have taken many a "cloverleaf" to the point of the front washing out a bit (decent compression) and have had no issues at all.

Just ran these tires at the track, and have to say I'm very impressed. I expected to be giving the point-by to cars running MPSCs but that never happened. The tire handles great and produces immense grip. With the issue of the tire getting greasy: the track temp was 100°F, lowering the cold pressures to 30f/31r and there was no issue -- the stiffer sidewalls allows running lower pressures.

Good info MetalSolid! I have these tires as well, but have been WAY too damn busy this year to hit the track, although I hope to within a month or so. It will be hot up here probably (Thunderhill -- which can be in the 100's in the Summer), so the 30f/31r cold pressure info is much appreciated!

I just ran these tires at streets of willow and I have to agree that they have fantastic grip. The track temp was over 100 deg and they held on over four 20 min sessions. I also managed to take top time of the day out of 68 cars. I can definately recommend them

I like these tires a lot. Use them on street and track. I go with mfr recommended pressures on street and aim for mid-30s hot at the track. Definitely slippery above that. My last track day was Thunderbolt at New Jersey Motorsport Park, air temp in the low 80s and I set them 28 all around cold.

I run 36# ft and 38# rear hot. Don't get hung up on N rating or square corners, unless that is how you drive. We tested them back to back against PS2's @ Sebring last spring year and the Advans were 2.5 sec faster a lap. As for wet performance, I feel the PS2 is probably a little better, But my Yokohama contact has informed me that the new Advan due out next spring will have much better wet performance and also an increase in dry traction

All testing done on a 996GT3 which we ran in the 2008 OLOA.
