Anyone know of a bigger more aggressive spoiler than the cup one? I get an awful lot of air under my front end even with the car at cup ride height and the cup spoiler. The new 997's seem SO much better off with the new nose.

Ed...not sure there really is. The "cup" splitter is what is run on the cups. I assume you would have to find some sort of aftermarket tuner that has that. But if you are running at cup ride height and running the cup splitter I'm not sure what more you can gain than what the actually cup teams had available for use.

On track days I use duct tape to secure the front lip spoiler(2) so it won't fly off(been there done that) much like what u see with racecars with the wire tie downs but don't want ne drilling and if a mishap occurs my front bumper won't come off as a result of an off. Everyday driving at high sp[eeds I guess u can make the duct tape abit smaller. Mike

Does anyone have pics of the different rivets?

Thanks.

Holger, I doubt any "rivet" will hold as good as some nuts and bolts...or screws in my case :-)

Only drawback of the nuts and bolts method is removing the bumper, but it would be a small price to pay to ensure that lip doesn't prematurely part with you....

I use my GT3 as my daily driver and also for track use. I drive it to the track.

IMO the front spoiler IS NOT compatible with street use. It INVARIABLY gets torn off. After the 3rd or 4th time, I simply stopped using it at all -- for either Road or Track.

What's everyone's opinion: Is it useful/important for track use? Am I getting much more understeer on high-speed turns?

I must be the exception. I drive in a lot of areas that should eat spoilers and also have a really nasty entrance to my driveway, but I still have the original (a little beat up) after 2 1/2 years. (Getting good at taking everything at an angle.)

I had a bunch of loose rivets that I replaced with some I found in my garage but have no idea if that's what they're for. Also, I prefer the plastic rivets as the lip is much cheaper to replace than the bumper cover.
