Default Guys who drive at Laguna Seca

Is a 1:39 lap around laguna quick for a street car? i saw some video here http://www.edmunds.com/il/nissan/skyline/index.html
of a skyline gtr prototype lapping there. edmunds says they timed the car at a 1:39 and the 997 turbo nissan also ran (they are using it as the benchmark for the gtrs development) ran a similar pace.

yes 139 is pretty fast.
low 140's in a 996 or 997 GT3 street cars are considered fast, use that as a ref.

btw, GTR is lengendary in japan, more so than TT's.

I think I nailed a 1:20 the last time I drove my full-race Skyline at Laguna Seca, and that was on my endurance tires.

(gotta love Gran Turismo on the ol' playstation!)

Ah, my bad, I saw the Sears Pt link in the "Additional Coverage" box and thought that was what it was referring to.
Didn't even notice the video section on the right...

what skyline do you have? i've worked on a number of R32 gt-r's up here and they're a BLAST to drive!
