Default CUP/RS Splitter vs. Stock Spliter

Just replaced the stock rear spoiler and stock splitter with the RS rear spoiler and CUP/RS splitter. Just a couple pics of the splitter so anybody curious can see the difference.

Dell, I just got mine from TRG with Austin, per your other msg. Are you going to apply 3M tape prior to mounting the motorsport lip?

I have a roll that I am going to apply. Actually I am taking a short break between splitters to clean both surfaces to make sure the 2xsided tape has a good clean surface to stick. Not sure it is needed but heck, why not. I am off today and have plenty of time.

When I sell a Cup spoiler, I also send some of the serated push pins instead of the smooth ones. They hold a LOT better. Did Austin send you some? I'd smack him if he didn't (Austin is a good personal friend and use to work for me BTW)...

Acutally he did but both types......1/2 were the smooth and half were the serrated so I alternated them every other one. Between that and the 2sided tape I should be just fine.

Just finished installing in and right now I have some boards wedged between the splitter and ground to hold it firmly in place for the tape to set.

The look is actually much better IMHO than the stock one. Really fills out the edges nicely.

Yes the Cup one is pretty much all I sell. They just look a lot better. Bet you can't wait Dell for Spring to come and get the car out on the track....

It being a bit deeper, watch the driveways!

Not sure how much more I can watch out. I already enter the driveway at a 45 degree angle of attack and do the one wheel off the ground dance. After all that I still have about 2-3mm to spare

With the stock splitter? With the RS one, it'll be 1 mm to spare.

My neighbor solved a similar problem with his DB9. He had his driveway completely rebuilt with a gentler slope.

Damn, now I'm down to 1mm

I wish I could redo the slope at the botton of my drive. But I am in a new development and they are still working on all the "driveway" issues. Pisses me off though since some drives are nice and gentle and some are sloped like mine. Probably b/c we selected one of the "premium" lots that has alot of elevation change as opposed to the flat lots. Argh!

You might want to try a silicon bead at the front edge where the splitter meets the bumper. I did that with mine (at the suggestion of the Farnbacher guys) and it works beautifully. No debris gets in the crack (because it is sealed) and it helps to hold the splitter on.
