Default Time needed to install muffler bypass pipes

It seems that the Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes are a very good option to reduce weight with the negative of a very LOUD sound for the road.

Excuse my ignorance... Can it be (easily ) installed/un-installed by a good mechanic when going to / back from a track ?

Thanks in advance ...

It's an easy DIY job. Your mechanic should have no problem.

1. Loosen the post-cat clamp and slide it out of the way.
2. Remove the 3 nuts holding the muffler in place (via the bracket).
3. Remove the entire muffler with the tip attached.
4. Line up your muffler bypass pipe.
5. Slide the post-cat clamp over and tighten.
6. Repeat for the other side and you're done.

It's helpful to get the rear up on some ramps.

Nope. It is a very easy job. It takes about 30 minutes.

Yep, I do mine myself and it is about 30 minnutes start to finish. A mechanic should charge no more than an hour (typically the minimum charge).

I remove the rear wheels as well, just for more clearance. I found it much easier to do that way. Otherwise, the above steps mentioned are what I do.

Enjoy! I love mine...

Question for the 1/2 hour guys. Can I hire you for 1/2 hour at the typical Porsche shop rate ($100/hour) to get my bypass installed? I prefer to pay the $50.
