If tires are NOT directional why would the tread indicate otherwise?

Well then why do tires like my S0-2's have a directional marker on them with a tread pattern that would "push" water from the leading middle of the tire to the rear outside of the tire?

Trust me, I am an addict.
If you care to do some digging there was a test made by AMS Germany in 2004 proving that direction was pointless when it came to moving water.

Regarding the pattern the test I've seen has shown no difference in braking distance regardelss if the tire is rolling in the right or wrong direction.
The explanation was that since the time that the tire hits the standing water and then leaves it the water has not enought time to move. It is simply using the available space in the groves.

I guess if you think about it, it comes down to contact patch surface area. Regardless of the direction of tread, the amount of contact patch is still constant thus resulting in an identical traction level (theoretically).

No it doesn't stop Dell.
I have. They come to temp much faster. Awesome grip, very predictible. Sings loudly before they let go. No surprises.
1 lap for the Nitto vs. 3 for the cups and like much higher pressures. Need more data to confirm
No hard data for this either, but the cups are probably faster once they are up to temp.
Canuck who's the avitar?? DAMN!
