I have an '04 GT3 and track the car in DE events in AZ and CA. I have seats, belts, bars, wheels, track tires and bypass pipes. I am considering installing the RS lightened flywheel. It must change the shift points on the track. Has anyone had experience with this modification on the track? And, did they think it was a worthy change?

best upgrade there is! The spool up in first and second is unreal. I get around the track much faster after the upgrade. You will notice it coming out of any 2nd or 3rd gear corners.

that's good info, especially since pulling out of the 2nd and 3rd corners are critical. i am going to have the dealer make the install. they are telling me it is not going to void the warranty. i hope I don't have to find out. i have not had great experience with dealers stepping up if they can find a way out.

I have had NUMEROUS Porsche dealers call me when they are doing this install for a customer (plus many other things on a GT3). Most are CLUELESS and ready in a heartbeat to always blame it on the customer instead of recognizing or ever admitting their own incompetance.

Thanks for the link. I am new to the forum and didn't realize how much great information was shared here. The link was posted about a year ago and Roberga (see above) posted the parts list. For anyone else's benefit here is the list of parts:
All Sach's porsche numbers. This is the same as the cup cars.
931.102.111.00 pilot bearing
996.116.015.32 clutch plate
944.116.080.01 release bering
928.102.151.01 flywheel bolts (9)
N0147153 clutch bolts (9)
964 102 239 31 plate
You also need the starter ring #964 114 143 31

Bought mine from Viper Bob. Best upgrade you can do. There is not a lot left in these cars from the factory. This makes a difference.

I have the GT3RS LWF kit in stock, email me for pricing.
It is not a wise idea to use the 964 pressure plate.. I'd step up to the Racing plate, due to the higher RPM that the 996 runs to vs the 964 unit.
