See my posting of 1-3-07 where I list the parts. The "Notes" on the repair order says coded and verified operation.

Thanks. Great to know I can relatively cheaply and easily fix this 10yo problem :-)

QUESTION: One poster indicated that only the buttons/graphics on the stalks are different. Is this to say that the stock stalks will function, doing dual duty for the dash computer and cruise control?

Also do I understand correctly that the ECU setting must be switched with a Durametric?

No- there's an extra stalk with switches for the cruise control. Look at the pics here:

Of course. 4 vs the 3 standard stalks. Thanks

FYI the stalk costs
996-613-219-10-EWC, Column switch assy is now a minimum $320+ new. With the other parts noted in the previous post (#11(?) above) this modification probably cost $450 in new parts now. Not that much more than the $343 quote in 2007. [local dealer prices more, of course]

I have had my tech do all the hardware and wiring, he checked it out on the PWIS and updated the ECU that the car now has cruise control. Drove about 300 miles with Cruise Control on the way back home, a lot easier than the trip down. If you do any long road trips...Cruise Control make the miles go by a lot quicker than working the e-throttle with me foot, trying to keep a consistent speed.
