Default DE Harnesses input/suggestions?

So, in our 996C2CAB we have the GT3 Euro Seats, Teq Harness Roll Bar and the G-Force Camlock 6-pt harnesses.

Now that we have added a GT3 to the stable and plan on tracking BOTH cars at the same time I need to start new in the GT3. Any suggestions on harnesses? Best place to buy them? Anything else?

I already have the seats and haven't yet made a decision on the harness roll bar. Suncoast has them on sale right now for on $995!!! Any reason to choose DasSport over it?

Thanks!

Tequipment bar isn't race-legal for PCA, and I believe the DasSport bar is.

I went the Tequip bar because it's really nicely built, has the Porsche name, and doesn't involve any drilling/cutting in the car at all.

The 6-point Porsche Sabelt harnesses are really well-built, have good materials, and are easy to adjust, but the shoulder straps are 3" wide and therefore not a great fit for a HANS.

Love that terracota interior!

So the Porsche belts are Sabelt brand?

i have the gt3 specific schroth harness in my car.

the 996 gt3 harness that came with the clubsport option was schroth Profi III-6. the lap belts ends have the porsche mounting hardware that mounts on the euro seats. you will need to buy the sub belt bar to mount the sub belt. you can configure the color (i thin 3 or 4 colos are available) and the shoulder belts to be 3" or hans specific.

The DAS bar is only race-legal if you install the backing plates, which require drilling. Without plates, it's a pure bolt-in, with no drilling required.

Schroth Profi III will pass any tech anytime. The Profi II model incorporates the 2 " lap belt, and is just now becoming accepted by most sanctioning bodies.

Personally, I prefer the Schroth Hybrid 3" shoulder and 2" lap for it's more comfortable sub straps. Give a call for pricing and availability. They're available in Red, Blue, and Black.

There are also options for the HANS friendly belts, these have a special "2 into 3" shoulder belt that is 2" wide over the shoulders then diverts to 3" wide down the chest section.

dell, get the best, call austin.
you are very much a track rat... so buy a HANS TODAY, ok, maybe TOMORROW. i am serious. it's $900, just go get one NOW. do it.

with HANS, you can either use 3" or 3" to 2" hybrid shoulder belts. both works (i have them all) but get the hybrid. more comfy. i prefer 2" lap belt, also eaiser to adjust. get 6 pt vs 5pt, unless you have ***** of steel.

austin can probably describe them better. order them such that the cam lock is on the crotch belt, then if you aren't using them just pull up the *** cushion, and let the cam lock belt droop toward front of seat, then put *** cushion back on seat, you will never know the crotch belt is there. if you put cam lock on lap belt, it will not tread out of the holes when no in use. you'll have to put the lap belt over thign bolster just not good looking.

i would get DAS bar at the min. and dont just bolt the thing. have someone weld a plate to tub and bolt to that, like NNH said.

i heard mishaps today and safety is really the only important thing.
