Question GT2 mk2

Anyone know why the GT2 don't have the "GT2 Logo" in the middle rpm dial?

GT2 mk1 and mk2, which one is the best buy?

do you think it is worth to pay more for the mk2 04 + car?

the PCCB2 in the mk2 is it much better than the one in the mk1?

mk2 has some CF parts, 19's rims, PCCB2, +21hp, 20kg lighter and what else?

plus just wondering are there any auto dim mirror and rain sensor in the 996? i have never seen one before.

Thanks...

Lots of questions there,
I'm sure you're somewhat familiar with the search function of the forum. Regarding recommendations on the best buy, I suggest you do some searching on the internet and Rennlist about the differences and the go for the flavour that suits you best. Neither car is a poor choice. Also, check your facts, they don't seem to be right..

The 04 / MK2 has better PCCB brakes (from what people say), cf mirrors and different wheels. However they are extremely rare and are likely a lot more expensive.

AW (yes with an 03 GT2 for sale)

Mk2 GT2 doesn't have Gen 2 PCCBs, nor does it have 19" wheels.

Carbon trim is an option- only real differences are: different ecu program to take it from 456hp to 477 (quoted); some changes to the rear suspension (damping and geometry) and GT3 style wheels.

So MK1 and 2 share the same PCCB1?
Beside the colour, how to notice it is PCCB or normal brakes?

1. Discs made of carbon rather than steel
2. Option code on the sticker under the bonnet and in the service book.

Isn't PCCB is standard, not an option?

Apparently very early Mk1 s had steel discs as Porsche were having "supply" problems with the PCCB
