I just bought my car and it came with an extra set, but I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping them for DEs...Is there any benefit to a set of racing wheels over the stock wheels (in your humble opinions)? Of course Boulder GT3 I will take your opinion with a giant grain of salt!

I don't know what kind of racing wheels vs. OEM you've got but I'd be hard pressed to think you can find a much better rim than the stock ones assuming same dimensions. Unless they have spinners...
Smart move to take anything I say with a huge grain of salt.

I've got PS2's on the car and Cups on the extra set of OEM wheels. I seems the consensus is the PS2's are a great way to go for mixed use street/track...and the Cups are great on the track, am I wrong?

I am in the extreme minority but I think the PS2's are nothing special on the track. On a hot day you can over heat them in a hurry. I'm a little puzzled why everybody raves about them so much. My cynical side says all that marketing really works.

Of course not on a GT3, but I have done S03's, PS2's, PZero's, and the cheapo's. In all honesty, I can't find much of a difference in my street driving! The PZero's suck in the rain, S03's wear rather quickly, and the PS2's are pretty expensive. I do like the PS2's, but I agree that they aren't anything special. From my experience they track about the same as the old Pilot Sports, but they last substantially longer. I.E. I had five driving events on my last PS2's, and when I sold the car the tires had probably nearly 80% tread left...and to say the least I don't drive easy on the street either.
I don't do enough driving events at this time to justify having $2000 in tires sitting around. So for me, I have to find a median. The PS2's/S03's are a great alternative, but I have also had good luck with several of the lesser Japanese tires like Falken 451's, Azenis, and others. Kuhmo MX's aren't bad tires, but they wear quickly. I might order some Dunlop Sport Maxx's next.
