Any 996 GT3 RS cars for sale in NA??
I am just putting out the feelers.
Since I am now NOT getting the 997 GT3, the options where limited to what I wanted. I was thinking of F360CS, or a Cup car, but really want a raw street car.
This got me thinking of the RS, and if there were any available here in the States.

Not a big fan of the CS, drove it back to back with my (well set up) GT3 and its just not as fun. Boo F1 transmission (didn't have the remap).
When you throw in that it is twice as much, no way. Nice looking though and outstanding brakes. I will take the brakes!!

I went through the same disappointment,
- No 997 GT3 for me due to the mandated Sunroof.
- No 997 GT3 RS for me due to the mandated Sunroof.
- No 997 GT2 for me due to the mandated Sunroof.
So, basically Porsche will not build a car for me anymore. I was considering importing and homologating an used 996 GT3 RS, but the car can't touch my car and the total price will be too high. I also considered the 360CS, but that car can't touch my car either.
At the end, I will wait for the specs on the 430CS when it comes. Ferrari will not betray their loyal customers, they won't force customers to buy a 430CS with a mandatory sunroof. They respect their customers, and they can afford to crash 2 or 4 or 10 cars contrary to the most profitable car maker in the planet. I expect the car will cost around $225k-$250k.
I might also consider another 996 GT3 when my car reaches end of warranty

As much as I am not a 360CS fan, I would buy it for resale if you have to have one of the two.
If you are willing to go to more extreme measures, I would buy a Cup car for the track and a GT3 street car for the street. You will have more money tied up but you will also have a superior raw street machine and a superior track machine that are both more affordable to pound the life out of!

Cosmos: what about a low-mileage GT2? If you do select mods to it (clubsport Moton, perf exhaust, etc...) , no one will touch you on the street and depending on your home track, you could end up with a faster car than you would with a 3-RS or a CS.
just another option.
