996 GT2 weight after a few more mods
Prior to the most recent mods she was at 3125 with 1/4 tank and no driver. Now she is at 3043 with 1/4 tank. So, we surpassed my goal of 3050!
So about 4.8lbs per hp = a lot of fun!

My 2003 with 1/2 tank of gas, with cup car calipers and steel rotors, GMG roll bar, Europipe, 6 pt harness, and motons is 3,252 lbs - otherwise it is stock (options wtih added weight were full leather, leather rear center console, cruise control, thicker steering wheel). It was 3,186 stock (with PCCB's on) with 1/2 tank of gas. So I have added 66 lbs of weight with safety, brakes and suspension.
Now I will have to take Grussell's lead and start heading the otherway! But to get to 3,050 would be pretty hard. Figure I can get back the 66 lbs with brakes (40) and wheels (26). Then another 20lbs for hood and maybe 40 for seats - so I only need another 70 lbs. Fuel versus Grussell is worth 30 lbs - 1/4 vs a 1/2 is 5 gallons at 6 lbs per gallon - so 40 lbs of carpet? Maybe more from the seat change?
My GT2 has a 89l tank or about 20 gallons.

Awesome stuff grussel! Great to see people taking advantage of weight savings. I've always been a big fan of weight saving since there are extra weight in these cars and you definitely benefit from lighter weight. Not only on acceleraion but braking, brake wear & cooling and cornering.
I've done "dieting" on my car (current weight with full tank is 2820 lbs) and can certainly feel the benefits (although I definitely could use those 300+ hp you have available... )
996 GT2 fuel tank is 16.9 so if the weight with 1/4 tank is 3043 lbs, DIN weight for this GT2 is about 3120 lbs.
(missing fuel weight: 16.9 gal x 0.75 = 12.675 gal. 12.675 gal x 6.1 lbs = 77.3175 lbs
(DIN weight: weight that Porsche publishes which is with full tank, oil, coolant etc. and 7 L of windshield fluid)
