From what I understand the standard cover assembly has three straps, AP in Italy make a cover assembly with four straps to give a greater margin of safety in an over rev situation.

Do you have the part number for the 4 strap?

What is the best pressure plate and clutch combo...

I need to order these parts... and who sells them?

I was just talking with robert and there will be no problem if you want to come out next week.
giovanni is with Bartling? I will give them a call if Greg does not have an answer for me.

My car was at the dealer for the Month of may waiting on a dowel pin.. and when I got it back the pressure plate crapped out.

If i can not get the AP pressure plate I will go with the stock piece. I do not want to miss next weeks event's. There is also a Solo 1 event at TMP the following week.
With my previous Z06 I have the Solo 1 production car track record at TMP and would like to see how the GT3 does.

Seems I'm in the same boat as a few others. I'm going to go to the LWFW as soon as I get the proper information as to what the latest and greatest available is, I don't want to do an upgrade to the upgrade in the future. Also what items do I really need to buy? The parts listed in the "kits" available appear to have some redundant items listed such as throw out bearings and guide tubes, etc.. Anyone have a realistic listing of parts actually required to make the change along with P/N's?

Anyone come up with a P/N for the new 4 strap pressure plate as of yet?

And I did speak to Austin at TRG yesterday.

Comming down to the Glen for the vintage races this fall? Porsche is the mark car this year, PCA Zone 1 is having special events starting on that Thursday. Should be a great weekend.

Ray, I have not made any plans on it.. sounds good.

If I get no answer today on the Cup pressure plate i will go with the stock unit or maybe the RS.

These numbers may/probably have been superceded but if you give them to a dealer the latest numbers will pop up on their computer screens.

Have you tried Viperbob? He seems to have disappeared but if you can find him he might know.

The LWF is a few mm thinner than the DMF so you need a release bearing with longer arms and longer guide tube.

Race quality is very rarely better than stock.

What everyone is selling as the "RS" pressure plate is actually the stock 964 presure plate (look for the blue paint mark). It is NOT an upgrade from the stock 996GT3 pressure plate.
