, because there is no point to being at full lock ever. therfore no rubbing.

mine also rubs at full lock with shims only, very slightly and it does nothing to impede the car in anyway.

In your opinion do you think he should shim or get the Manthey Plates?

Don't get confused by the rubber on the lower part of the camber plate, it's just a dust cover to protect the ball bearing.
On both cars, the rear upper strut mount is not a monoball.

Ok, My guy did this and I get rubbing at 3/4 lock. He told me that he rotated the struts if this means swap I don't know. I have -2.7 camber up front. The wheel is very chatty, I just assumed it was a characteristic of the car.

Well, I have been to the track twice since. First day: a disaster. Had F -3,5 and R -3º with toyos R888's. Second day, wet track, slow rain . Changed to F -2,5º and R2,2º. Good sensations, but I haven't been able to compare with my dry track times. The only new issue is a littel more unstable car at the end of the straight line ( about 150 mph). I wonder why, as the caster hasn't moved... Perhaps the tyres ?
We will see , again, on the 23rd..On a dry track...if it doesn't rain...
Anyhow, I made a mistake in order to be able to really "measure" the difference: I changed tyres - from MPSC to TOYOS - AND camber.... We will see with a pyrometer how it looks..

Chatty, twitchy darty, whatever. It may be in my head, but with 0 toe up front in each configuration there seems to be more (whatever adjective you want to use) Should be the opposite with the wider track.
Hell I don't know anymore, I'm over thinking this.

Have you checked your caster ? Has it moved ? Mine has behaved extremely well. I wonder if "my"
behaviour at 150 mph+ is due to the added neg. camber ( I came from -2º,and now have -2º50') and stronger sidewalls of the Toyos...

A lowered car will gain on both camber and caster. I had my car on the alignment rack about two years ago. We did the alignment reading, then rotated the stock camber plates, and got the car re-aligned. My caster readings went down by from 9.2 to 7.8 degrees.
