I was hoping they would give it some nicer bumpers - guess not The wing is a little too busy too. What's with these designers, have they ever heard of elegant design?

It's still nice, I'll still take one

I thought the calipers would be in a lower location??? It is the same as all the other 997s

Am I the only one that thinks the rear wing is a bit much? I'll take mine with the GT3 wing please.

The RS is not supposed to be elegant nor practical, just functional for what it is built for which is Performance. I like it!

Ciao,

The uprights for the front struts are straight as well. Take a look at the brake caliper....whats up with that?

Ciao,
By elegant, I just meant simple/clean design - probably used the wrong word.

Somehow they managed to make the '73 RS look clean, and I think you'll agree that was quite "functional"

My point was simply that the bumpers are too crazy looking, they're not nicely designed. Certainly not a timeless design. Simple "elegant" designs are the ones that still look fresh 30 years later - take that bumper off the GT3 and look at it by itself... some might confuse it for that of a ricer civic.

I won't even bother putting the flamesuit on, my skin is made of asbestos

I love everything but the wing. It is too squarish for the overall smooth, round shape of the car. But, they made it that way for a reason i suppose.

I would say, let's not. The 3.6 is a much more reliable engine, especially when it comes to high-revving race engines.

R+C

It´s just cheaper in BB to register your car- it´all about the money.

The first letters BB are for the town
the letters inthe middle you can choose for 25 Euros together with the numbers on the ende, but some numbers are reserved for Porsche like 997, 996, 911
Or for Ferrari 430 and 360
And only Motobikes can get a short one like BB-R-1

Nordschleife is really amazing - you must see it to believe how they are driving there

The article does say

"The first, and highly anticipated, 911 is the upcoming GT3 RS -- which will make an appearance worldwide."

Key word....WORLDWIDE.....so let's hope they are right.
