I just got mine and it looks great. I had the impression it was spring loaded but it's not. It's not like it's going to flap in the wind but just taught it was.......

It seems well built and rugged.

It is actually a ballbearing which is spring loaded that keeps pressure on the bolt, stopping the hook from flapping.

Anyone else received and tried their hook(s)?

I'm a sitting duck here with my "3" being 12 hours flight away!

Well, the hook arrived, and yes it is loose until the collar surface mates with the bumper bar. I checked the diameters against the stock item and it is 2mm smaller in diameter. This leads me to the conclusion that a tow-truck giving it a jerk out of the gravel could lead to you watching the tow truck disappear with your new hook!

When fitted the threaded stub protrudes from the bumper so you cannot refit the bumper plug. So the complete assembly really needs to be a permanent fixture and thus a very tempting offering to those nice people that collect badges, Porsche logo valve caps and other external goodies.

Nice piece of kit but it is clearly the wrong diameter and poorly thought out design.

I am going to send it back to Taiwan

The seller is actually in Canada, which is where I shipped mine back to. He claims to have sold "thousands" of these for Porsche's and they all were fine except for mine.

I came to the exact same conclusion, that there's a good chance it'll rip out when used and strip the threads in my bumper. Also, no matter how much I tightened it, it was easy to remove by hand. So unless you take it off after every track day, you'd soon see it taped to the bumper of a local Civic or Accord.

Got an mail from Delsa Motorsport Intl. stating that the manufacturer had supplied hooks with Ford thread as Porsche items and I was asked to return the hooks for a full refund.

Not Delsa's fault and I have to say that they have been good to deal with. They asked me to inform all of you to return your hooks for a full refund.

Sorry to drag you guys in to this with my post, just sad these nice hooks did not work out.

Holger, this is what the TC designs (Milpitas) hook looks like and you can see the thread has the same pitch as the stock hook whereas the hook you received definitely has a different thread...like the looks of the one you bought though....
