My company sells open and enclosed car trailers. For the difference in price for a decent trailer I would get the enclosed. Security (can lock it and nobody has to know a Porsche is inside - could be a Yugo), cleanliness (rain, dust, gravel etc.), storage (parts, tools, tires etc.), someplace to hang out (put an awning on it) etc. Get a decent tow vehicle and an enclosed trailer. If you want to tow 2 cars get a gooseneck 38' minimum with a 3/4 or 1 ton truck (dually optional but lateral stability will be better). If towing one car, a smaller aluminum trailer can be towed behind your Cayenne without much of a problem.

If anyone is interested I can send you an article I wrote for the Rennsport Region (Ottawa - Montreal - Quebec City) monthly newsletter which goes into the basics of what to look for in a car trailer.

LVDell,
I recently purchased an enclosed Trailex. I pull it with my Cayenne turbo. It is the nicest trailer you can find that is appropriate for a Cayenne. It weighs 1800 lbs empty. I used to have a 20' enclosed Featherlite. It was a very nice trailer but it was too heavy (at least the tongue weight) for the Cayenne.
Check out Trailex.com!!!! Call and speak with Carl. He gives discounts to PCA members!

I've also owned a Trailex in the past and can attest to it's extremely high quality and great customer service. Can't go wrong with this brand!
