I got caught in the rain this past week. So I took advantage of it
I got the car a bit loose, and the ABS light came on????
Well I thought it was just one of those things, but decided to test it out. Got to my Neighbor hood. I came up to a stop sign slowly...and jammed the brakes....Well the car locked up all four wheels.
I turned it off, and back on, the ABS went away. Same test next stop sign, an it worked fine.
Question, is this something anyone else has experienced, should I take it to the dealer to have it checke out. Its been fine every since

If you manage to lift a wheel, it confuses the ABS system and you get a light. For example leaving a gas station at an angle, turning right my right front wheel was off the ground for a few feet. ABS light. Stiff car!
This is normal. Differing wheel speeds sometimes causes the ECU to throw an ABS light. The ECU figures the wheel speed sensors may be bad. Restarting the car resets the light.
It happens when you apply brake with the wheel off the ground. It has happened to me three times. All three when leaving a business on to a road at a splitter saving angle.
I bet you are not on the brakes when tricycling a corner at Road Atlanta.:-)
It can also happen if the front and rear wheels are a different diameter. If I recall, the max difference in rolling diameter is 3 percent. A local played around with different (wider) front tires which were taller than stock - abs light all the time. The wheel speed sensors were 'confused' by the different wheel rotation speeds. Rolo the most common reason is braking with one wheel off the ground as stated above. Switch off, switch on and all is good. It will also clear itself after a few minutes of driving.
