which parts? i believe the 996 can use the gt3 struts, springs, strut mounts and control arms. i guess pretty much everything but the wheel carriers, unless you use gt3 brake calipers. i will be getting gt3 lower control arms (with shims) for more camber, just bolts on.

I have a 1999 996 C4. I put GT3 swaybars on it front and back. This is a simple bolt-on modification. Very effective. A set of PSS9 all around was the second mod. I highly recommend for the track, but they are probably too stiff for highway use by all but the most hard core drivers. .

what will not fit? gt3 sways? i, too, have them on my 996 and they fit! they require shorter front droplinks but the rear oem droplinks will work. the lower control arms will fit as well. what i am not 100% sure on are the dampers and springs but i am almost positive. i went with motons anyway

Strutmounts and you will have to change the wheelcarriers as well, big project! Rather go PSS9 if I was a Carrera owner.

Ciao,

Ciao,

the top strut mounts will work with the c2 body. they did not change the pattern. you do not have to change the wheel carrier as the gt3 strut cartridge is the same diameter as the stock c2 strut so why wouldn't it work? they are just regular old coilovers made by h&R/bilstein. nothing special about them. if you want to upgrade to gt3 brakes then yes, you have to change the wheel carriers.

gt3skea wanted to reuse the stock gt3 suspension on a 99 996 so the pss9s would be out of the question anyway.

Karlooz,

You go from being very insecure by stating "i believe the 996 can use the gt3 struts", to hammering me because I say that it won't fit. The mind boggles! A friend with a 996 C2 tried to mount the GT3 suspension hardware but it wouldn't fit, so I'm just talking from closely related facts.

sorry if you think i was hammering on you but hey, just thinking things through, so no need to be defensive. your mind boggles! HA!

ok how about this. i know the stock gt3 suspension will work because i know the gt3 moton clubsport suspension works on my 996.
