Rothsport in Oregon sells a front/rear floating kit that work with the stock PCCB calipers (really mainly the rear ones) and keeps the emergency brake functional.

I am sure there are many more on the market.

However, all of these floating kits use fairly expensive discs.

The front rotors and calipers on the GT3 are identical to those of the GT2 with PCCB. The rear rotors are 330 mm diameter as opposed to 350 mm for the PCCB on the GT2. The GT3 uses a very similar 4 piston rear caliper but it mounts differently to match the smaller 330 mm rotors. I converted my GT2 PCCB to Gt3 steel brakes and had to buy new rear calipers.

Floating rotors are noisy - be prepared for loud "clacking" sounds. Also, if used in the rear you lose the handbrake. This may be an issue for you. lastly the floating rotors are roughly double the price of the GT3 Motorsport rotors which are available from Carnewal and other site sponsors such as Devek.

Since it sounds like you have a GT2 or a GT3 with PCCB, the easy solution is to buy a conversion kit from Carnewal.com. You get all the parts you need, new cast iron rotors all around, and rear calipers which are yellow to match the PCCB calipers you'll keep in front. That's what I did and I was very happy with the results. The PCCB went into a box for the next owner. With Pagid Rs 19 pads the car brakes wonderfully on the track using the GT3 brakes. My GT3 is equally wonderful.

Regards,

Replace the front PCCB's with the AP racing rotors.. get them non floating.. do not get the floating it will sound as if there is something broken.. the performance of the non floating rotors are great..

The AP racing rotors are a true race rotor which will last you a long time.. I have gone threw a set of Pagid Black pagids and now have the Pagid Porsche Cup car race pads.. with the same AP rotors and they still look great .

I have the rear PCCB on the car.. they make an AP rotor for the rear..the rears will last a lot longer ..they do less work.. most of the work is done by the front brakes.

How did the wheel install go.. oh yeah your still waiting on the studs.. why don't you try it with the original bolts.

See my thread on the Brembo floating brakes here. They are durable and work well. They are also noisy.

Is anyone here running Alcon rotors? Apparently they have 350mm rear ones available now. I was originally told they could also give you new hats so you didn't have to dismantle the rear ceramic assembly, but not sure that is the case now. These maintain the e-brake which is essential for a roadcar imho.

Are there other 350mm rear solutions available beyond the Alcon? Must keep the e-brake.

p.s. Alcons apparently have 2 different levels of float you can order, depending on tolerance for noise vs absolute performance.

I have a set of 2nd generation front floating rotors from Brembo for sale. Great for the track, not good at all for the street (too noisey). let me know if you are interested.
