Cup Holders....
The weekend before last I was at Summit Point with RTR. Between sessions I had a conference call, so I sat in the car with the windows mostly up. While idly playing with the cup holder I noticed that some knurled bits on the end. I gave it a pull, and the cup holder slid out to reveal a second holder! I was amazed. Since I've never actually used the cup holder during the almost 11,000 miles I've had the car, those of you who have may well know this. I think it's pretty nifty.
BTW, I have used the CD player. I'm about ready to put a second CD in. The one I've been listening to since I bought the car is almost at the end.

LOL, I figured it out shortly after buying the car. If you have a full can of soda in the holder, and then take an agressive left turn, the hidden cup holder will reveal itself automatically. In the meantime, you will have a fricken heartattack as when that puppy starts to slide open, you will see visions of soda all over your interior.

It's not a two stage cup holder, it's a two stage cup launcher.
Buy a medium soda at McD's.
Drink it.
Put empty cup in cup holder.
Drive.
Watch launch out of cup holder sometime in the next 15 minutes, depending on how rough the road is.
For larger cups, pull cup holder out and use the second stage.
And what causes the launch? Why, the cup retaining spring of course. I think maybe the design specs got mistranslated at some point.
