Default 3rd radiator

looking at the car from the front, does the gt3 third radiator tilt towards the back or does it tilt towards the front like in the gt2?

i upgraded my cooling with the 3rd radiator kit and it tilts toward the back. doesn't seem like there's much airflow back there. has anyone moved theirs forward to improve airflow?

Stock GT3 is NOT canted. Although you can do it. Home kit is about $200, factory/after market parts will run about $1k. I recommend the $1k option as it has better brackets then I could ever build and some plumbing that is needed to get it just right.

Evan, Evan, Evan.... It is a simple matter to cant the radiator forward IF you have the RS / Cup bumper and need the air to flow through and over the hood. There is one bracket, 2 spacers, and 2 longer bolts required and one plastic duct. There is also some amount of fab work and 2 new radiator hoses needed (no Porsche). The first time I did this was on a GT2 bumper upgrade onto a 996TT (Sharky's car actually). There is a post on the 996tt board from over a year ago with some pics. BTW, when you do this you need to block the airflow under the car through the bumper so it will force the air to flow over the hood (added downforce instead of lift, etc, etc.)

No, I think the kits are the same. What you want is the kit from like Cargraphics.

Call Cargraphics USA and ask for Erik, tell him Evan sent you for the radiator cant kit from Thomas.

I wouldn't recommend that kit. Too many reasons to go into. If you are going to do it, then get the RS nose and do it right...

FWIW, I have that kit on my RS conversion, and it works fine-- but the rad hoses are too short and you will need to fab up something, not a big deal. It's not the cheapest thing out there, but it does blow some air on the F brakes, which I think is good. I also have the vented Cup nose.
