Thumbs up White GT3 "4Kurves" on Hiway 23 this morning?

Saw a beautiful, race-prepped GT3 being trailered this morning through Moorpark on Hiway 23. California plate "4 Kurves". Does the owner frequent this board? He's probably wondering why an old guy and very young girl would honk from a little red Scion Xa and give him a thumbs up.

Awesome car. And that's my daughter, in case you were thinking some evil thoughts!

Hey Steve,

There is someone here with that Rennlist name, 4Kurves. I'm sure it's the same person. If it's him, then he also races w/ the POC.

Yup, that was me! On my way to drop the car at Rusnek for a few minor issues.

Thanks for the honk and the way - I figured you had to be a P car enthuisast.

And evil thoughts about an old guys with a young girl never crossed my mind....

Its really a small world out there. You can't flip off anybody on the freeway... they probably know your mother! Your car really looked great. Nice trailer also. I hope I can meet you out at Willow Springs or one of the other local tracks one day.

Haha - how true!

I'll be out at Willow on June 11th & 12th (POC Time Trial) and the 25th/26th (POC STS at Streets) with my wife who shares the car for the Short Track Series.

Hope to see you there.

Kevin,

Good luck on the 11th & 12th at Big Willow. I was going to try and make that event, but things changed and I can no longer do it.

Btw, great job at the last STS event. You & Henrik really ran some quick times. Did you change anything to your setup, or was it just seat time? That was really impressive.

I'm in LP this year, but will miss the event on the 25th & 26th (man, June is just not a good month for me with track events!). So, I won't be out there until September. See you then.

Thanks for the compliment Rich. No changes to the car except that I went to full stiff on the rear sway bar (from one position softer). Cured some understeer but made the rear end twichy - something I could live with for the slow tracks.

I think the biggest reason for our gain in speed is that Henrik and I push each other pretty hard. We are both competitive and we have both benefitted from some coaching by Craig Stanton.

My tires were toast by the end of Sunday (with my wife sharing the car the tire wear just doubled! ) but my best time was the very last lap of the day.

The TT on the 11th/12th will be my first with the POC - I'm really looking forward to it even though I don't really like the big track at Willow.

-Kevin

Kevin,

How did you get the coaching session from Craig? That's great.

Kevin,

Maybe I can come on out on Saturday, June 11. Just a spectator and photographer, except I just this morning sold the lens I need... maybe I can borrow it back for the day. Anyway... I work for beer. Only for us old guys its actually "Berritol".

We hired him (as a group). He is available for that kind of stuff between races. You can reach him through his web site:
