Sort of defeats the purpose of a GT3, no? I thought Porsche already had this angle covered; I remember hearing something about a.... GT2?

It would be a shame to bastardize even one GT3 in such a way.

A 996 GT2 is turbocharged and rear wheel drive only. The 996 Turbo is all wheel drive.

usable where ? The track ? Obviously it's just a street rocket that may go out to the track to blow out the pipes every now and then. Not much different than 90% of the TT owners who mod the **** out of there cars...Usable ??? Sure, like John Force burnouts at the green light. Overtaking traffic at supersonic speed. Boring **** like that... sounds like fun....

My bad! I've never had interest in the GT2 thinking that it is a 4WD.

i was being sarcastic. 900 to 1000 hp in a 3200+k lb (after adding all that turbo crap) RWD car is stupid. a GT3 with significantly less power would probably pulvarize this abortion on the track. throttle modulation will be impossible as will smoothly and predictably exiting apexes. lastly, i don't see how they can keep from significantly reducing redline to get more than 5k miles out of one.

I know...as far as an abortion.... That needs to be determined by a pro driver doing hot laps in that car on say Laguna and then any other road legal car(cgt included). Under those circumstances, I would put my money on the TTGT3...
