can the gt3 be used as an everyday car?
i know this has been mentioned before but i aminterested in knowing what gt3 owners think about this.....the the gt3 be comfortable enough to drive as transportation...i have driven 996, c4s, the 996tt, the 993, along with many other sports cars, but not a gt3...how does the gt3 compare with these cars as far easy and comfort while driving?...is the clutch and shifter too stiff and notchy? is the ride ridiculously firm? can the radio be heard over the engine roar? i know the gt3 is true sports and track car and i dont expect a buick,

Excellence reported that the GT3 was more comfortable than the C4S they had. My wife thinks our GT3 is more comfortable than the 993 TT we had. I would not drive it in stop and go traffic but any other kind of commute would be fine IMO.

Yes one could but no I don't drive it everyday. Clutch is stiff but tolerable, ride is also tolerable on Va roads but would be less so on worse roads. It's noisy but you can hear the radio over the engine. Aside from the need to have more than two seats and room for a golf bag what keeps me from driving it more often are the low spliter height in the front and the fact that driving it in regular traffic is an exercise in self control that I am not always up for.

Yes!
It's a personal preference, I guess, but I enthusiastically say, "yes!" to using the GT3 as a daily driver. Honestly. I've got a sedan if I want to haul the kids around or if the weather calls for it. I would second the thoughts by 64lusso that the car does require some personal restraint. It shines on the track.

64lusso is right. It boils down to 3 things: low ride height, heavy clutch & interior noise. Ride quality is not an issue as it's stiff but not harsh IMO. If you're ok with those three, it can be a daily driver.

I don't drive any car on a daily basis (I commute by train and foot), but if your route does not have splitter-unfriendly dips and you love the sound of the engine, then "yes" it can be a daily driver. I don't find the clutch to be heavy at all.

I have the MPSC which have stiffer sidewalls....in the city it bounces all over the place...not to much fun there... you could get tired of driving it everyday if the roads are not very good.
I can see people selling there GT3's who do not like to do DE days or track events...and are buying it because it's cool.
I am keeping my GT3...can't wait to go to the track...with my new regear/RS flywheel it's crazy fast.

Z06, I think it's crazy fast stock, yours must be crazy even faster! I can't imagine wanting anything more serious for the street like a Carrera GT or an Enzo.
When I bought mine last May I picked it up in NJ and drove it about 400 miles home through a big variety of traffic and weather (no snow, thankfully!) and arrived home that night feeling like it would be easy to go another couple of hundred miles. I climbed into my BMW 330i to go to work the next morning and when I pressed the clutch in I thought it was broken, I got completely used to the GT3 clutch on the ride home to the point where it felt normal until I had something else to compare it to.

Yes, but I don't recommend it. Even an Enzo or CGT can be used as an everyday car.
Too low, brake ducts hit everything on the road, difficult to hear radio, stiff, noisy, heavy clutch, etc.

I put the race seats in with mantatory 5 points, so it is not good for everyday. But, with stock seats it is fine. I don't find the clutch heavy at all. I like it better than the one in my Boxster S.
