If you can accurately predict this then you should play the stock market. but there is plenty of history to look at. But since these are rare, who knows. But the condition is gonna be key too. if it was a track ***** then it might not be worth much.

Very much depends on what Porsche brings out in the future..the next one will always be better. I wouldn't contemplate buying it for it's future value, buy it to enjoy it now if you can afford the price of "consumption", if not, wait until prices fall.

If the 997 GT3 has a wet-sump motor, that will help 996 GT3 prices alot, otherwise, the resale prices will be strong but not exceptional, IMHO.

Grant, the 997 GT3 will not have a wet sump motor. Besides, it won't matter much anyway.

Precisely my sentiments. This car is just about perfect out of the box.

Viken - I hope you're right about the 997GT3 motor. There have been alot of rumors that the new GT3 will have a tweaked version of the 997S's 3.8 wet sump motor and that only the GT3RS will have the dry sump 3.6. But, rumors have been known to be wrong and you've been known to be right

I still don't think we will have a 997 GT3 in North America!

Viken, I hope you are right, would be a shame to see a GT car with just a worked S motor.

pardon me, but that is so untrue.

gear ratios much too tall - need close range box to unleash the gt3
bump handling is poor

i had 3 3's, and like it but these are major failings

i wont recount the 100 good things, but it is FAR from perfect
