just about perfect.
I also noticed the bump handling in cornering, however, did you also notice that
the cars directional attitude is fairly stationary even though the chassis moves
a bit. This is a lot like my 89 928 S4 (before the bilstein/eibach combo).

I cant use the 190 where I go, but thats just me. I dont know how fast I can go down the front straight at willow but at buttonwillow I could use alittle bit more low end and not so much top end but I am a rank novice.

For me, I enjoy getting 26 mpg at I5 speeds and the nice ratios of the 6 speed.
I am guessing on the track, you would end up using 2-3-4 with the stock box,
and with a shorter rear-end, you would end up using 2-3-4-5-6.
With a non-sequential box, that is a lot of shifting. Esp. with an engine
that has a reasonably flat torque curve.
My race car had a 2.3L I4, revving to 8K rpms (1989 M3) and with the close ratio dog-leg gear box, and shorter rear end made the car fun to drive on the track, but it was a lot of shifting. However, that engine was quite peaky compared to the GT3 engine.

_______
you won't hit 190 for sure.
but at buttonwillow
________
before i brake for turn 1 (config 1 CW) i hit 140. i think if you got more guts, you can clear 150.
I could use alittle bit more low end
_________
OG, many ppl told me this about gt3, but try to drive it like a honda vtec. don't shift. the only place i hit 4th gear is riverside at about 98mph and exiting esses 118mph and front straight. peg the rpm at 8k and enjoy the sound track of the engine ;-)
i toyed with the idea or regrear the box. but i am not sure i can shift that fast... maybe next year.

John 140 is what I hit on the back straight on the CW config in the TT. so I am sure it would be the same in the GT3. I dont shift my MX bike after the start in a race. Start in 2nd hit 3rd and stay there. I know how to do that!!

paul, hope you aren't upset with my comments. i just love the sound of the motor at 8000rpm in 3rd gear so i don't shift ;-)

John will you be going to Hooked on driving MAy12/13? My car been stagnant -it's thirsty for the track. I am doing NCRC but that's June 24 and also June 25/26 with NASA so it's 3 days worth of track-woohoo. I mite go with Hooked on driving on Thursday if that is the day. Mike
