Farewell to my trusty GT3, and to this fantastic community!
I want to thank all the other owners here who have made the ownership experience such a rewarding, informative and enjoyable automotive adventure. Jack, Kevin, Richard, Noel, Watt, Carl, Amir, Viken, to name just a few, it has been a real blast to drive and hang out with you, and I really hope to be back with you all before too long!
Bob R, thanks for all the great advice, I really appreciated it!
John, thanks for the site, it has been totally addictive and very enjoyable, even with EJ's rabid rumblings!
I'll miss all you guys, until the next time!!
My car is listed in the classifieds here if anyone knows someone who might be looking. At a recent track day Craig Stanton said it is one of the best set up GT3's he has ever driven.

Guys it's no April Fool, and I really loved this car, and really, really loved tracking too, but I was also falling into 'car world'. Between running my own Z8 website, Rennlist, tracking etc it was all taking my away from both work and home life a little bit too much.
Add to that the need to put some funds into a plan to buy some commercial property to develop as a manufacturing base for my fiancé's fashion biz, and the GT3 was one of the things I decided to let go. If it all goes well hopefully I'll be back with the financial freedom not to have to work in a few years, so fingers crossed!!
The Z8 is staying, it was my first love, my first sportscar, and I built the website for it long before the GT3 even existed. Besides it's the car my other half loves too, she loves the trips we take in it, top down backroads, lovely B&B's etc. Yep, it's a romantics car! She has only been in the GT3 twice, and she didn't like it at all!!

Andrew, -This is not good news! I guess you have made up your mind, but I must tell you that one of the best days I've ever had was being at Willow with you and the gang and then come home and see all the awesome pics you took and posted here afterwards, which I could share with my family and friends and they could get a sence of my exitement thru your photo's and the postings.
You are a great guy and driver, and I'm sorry to see you go and cut our time together, sharing our passion of driving great cars on the track, way too short!
I know you will be happy and satisfied with your decision, as it will open up new doors and hopefully help you realize your dreams faster!
All the Best to you and good luck in cultivating your relationship and dreams together with your fiance!
Henrik

Andrew, before you sell the GT3 you have to promise to take my car for a drive ... it might change your mind. The GT3 is a diamond in the rough. I would dump the Z8 over a GT3 anyday. Buy a Yugo and keep the GT3.

BTW, isn't the Z8 the worst handling car in the history of BMW? But she sure looks sexy. Perhaps the Z8 may be the last good looking car ever come out from the BMW.
