Red face BTW, isn't the Z8 the worst handling car in the history of BMW

You have never driven a Z8 than. It is a wonderful car on the track. In the right hands it truely shines.

I belive it is one of the BEST handling BMW's ever.

I had a Z8. I loved the looks and the power. I couldn't stand its stock handling and the wind buffeting at speeds over 50 mph was intolerable. With the seats just in front of the rear wheels the car really porpoised over bumps.

That said, it is the last world-class looking cars out of BMW!

Andrew - I'm sorry to see you leaving the community. I think I understand the "why" of it. Sort of like going "cold turkey". I hope you'll rejoin us soon.

Best,

Andrew,
As I said yesterday, I'm sorry to see you go but perfectly understand your reasoning. And I'm sure you will be back one day. But until then I'm going to miss you buddy!

Good luck in your ventures - I'm sure the sun will shine on you and your soon to be wife.

-Kevin

PS: Thanks for the photo - I never really looked at until this morning. Like all your work, it is suburb!

I echo all of Kevin's comments -- sounds like we had the same conversation yesterday.

On a related point, anybody looking for a GT3 that is in great condition, well maintained and has be completely track-sorted, Andrew's GT3 IS the car for you.

Best of luck, my friend, and as promised, you'll be kept in the loop on all future private track days.

Andrew,

While we've never met, I'm a big fan of yours through the M5/Z8 and RL forums.

I can see your resaons for the temporary farewell. We all have to sacrafice a little sometimes. My wife does not like any of my cars (M5, Miata, RUF) so we always take the Highlander or the Odyssey (try tracking those!). I'm happy that you are willing to sacrafice for your loved ones. It is not an easy thing to do, especially in car forums where we worship the supremacy of our beloved vehicals. You are a fine gentleman with the proper priorities in your life.

Best of luck to your future, and please don't be a stranger. Post any pics you want as I love them all. Thanks.
