GT3 Titanium exhaust-- it's here...
Finally received my Ti exhaust for the RS+ project car-- the last piece of the puzzle. The craftsmanship from the Stuttgart welders is simply stunning. Total wt., including the headers, is 30 lbs. Claimed power gain: +15 r.w.h.p.
Next: Dyno trip to see whether this purty stuff works as advertised. Pics are att'd...

List price is $8,500 for the manifolds, race cats w. OBDII sensor bungs, link pipes, Ti muffler cannisters, s.s. tips. Approx. one mo. from special order to U.S. delivery. PM me if you want one-- this setup makes the Europipe look like a couple of tubas that some crazed Belgian musician welded underneath a GT3

I stand corrected-- practically ALL of the muffler part of the system is Ti, including the welded-on exhaust tips.
The sound (based on a preliminary report from the garage): Well-mannered rumble at low rpms, nice metallic snarl at high rpms, perfectly liveable for the street. Anyody want a brand new set of Fab*%$#@ muffler bypass pipes? Used only a few times to start the car, zero road mi. Make me an offer...

It looks very nice, but looks do not equal performance. I am not sure how much I like that X pipe arrangement, and wonder if it doesn't affect exhaust flow at higher rpms. I guess that the only way to really know this would be to dyno them with the stock exhaust headers. Anyway, I am interested in the results. Post'em when you got'em.

pimp. I will be dynoing my GT3 with the Europipe at AWE Tuning this Saturday. It will be an interesting compare the dyno charts with the stock exhaust dyno I did 1 year ago..
EP claims +14hp. rwhp stock was 348. Hoepfully I will see at least 362 saturday...

Ya, we be big pimpin' now...
Re Larry's point, most of the European tuner exhausts seem to employ the double crossover design, I assume for maintaining backpressure. (Cargraphic's very nice GT exhaust, which was designed by RS Tuning, looks quite similar). The headers on my system (about 1 3/4-in. diameter) are surprisingly short running to the merge collector, so I think this is a design that's meant to maintain mid-range torque without shifting everything up to the top of the rev band.

Daymn .. those are sweet. I fixed the links for you but you need a better camera. I'd like to hear that muffler!! It would be great if they are ALMOST as loud as open pipes. Are you coming out the the GT3 meet in Buttonwillow?

What's all the heat wrapping about? It's a shame to go through all that work and mess it up with the ugly heat tape. Considering the cost, area should have been ceramic coated (and no, not that aluminized heat paint stuff) and, or a heat shield, no muss, no fuss.

Gawd, you're right! I'm gonna send it back immediately... And they left off the platinum inscription, too, now that I look at it more closely.

OK, got the exhaust on the car. Fitment was excellent. The welds are pure artistry. The tips are a little too round and don't fill out the cutouts, should be oval. But since everything after the manifolds is Titanium, there is no swapping 'em out. Can't tell if there is one or two sets of small cats inside the transverse cannisters. The heat-wrapped piece linked to the merge collector is not a catalyst, as I thought, but is a flexible joint/expansion chamber thingee.
The sound (on the lift, not on the road yet) is really nice-- low rumble on idle, not obnoxious, nice mid-range, when you get up on the tach it has a metallic scream that sounds for all the world like a Ferrari. This is one of the best-sounding exhausts I have heard for the GT3.
