and PCCB to boot. I wonder how much is left with those rotors or their condition. Looks like you need to add at least 7K to get a steel set with calipers all around...or replace the PCCB

Would there be any reason to be concerned with a high mileage GT3, assuming the car checks out? That is, given the drivetrain's lineage, everything I've read leads me to believe that high mileage should be taken in stride by a GT3.

Something doesn't seem right on that ebay listing. The car in the slideshow/hanger pics "seems" to be the same one those guys were selling for 108k and 800 miles last month or so.

Or is it just the airplane hanger is their photoshoot HQ and the car last month was midnight blue......... (Correction - the midnight blue one is still there, scroll down to other cars for sale)

Oh well, hopefully some buyer's got a big grin

note the new one has steel brakes and the 49k miles one had PCCBs.

i'd have been a buyer near $60k, but not @ the $69k it sold for

Build date 4/03. Only a little over 2 years remaining on the warranty. 50k miles. PCCB. Few options. $69k seems about right.

Is the PCCB a negative ??

It raises the asking prices for used cars, but no one seems to want them.

So .... should a reseller/owner be asking premium price because of PCCB or should they suck it up and write it off as a bad buy?

It can be a negative. I heard pccb rotor replacement on all 4's is in the $12,000 neighborhood...

Original factory warranty expires right at 50k miles. Does this car have an aftermarket extended warranty?

Exactly.

--------------------------

I called the seller. It was on ebay for 4 hours before it sold. When I called about the car after I saw this post, I didn't hear back from the seller. It promptly sold 5 minutes after I called.

I called back and spoke with one of the salesman to get confirmation the car sold. I was then told that I was the 5th caller requesting the car, and if the buyer flakes, I'd get a call. Seems highly unlikely.

Seller said "I wish I had 10 of them". FWIW.

As for PCCB, about 3.8k will get the kit to swap it out to steel form carenwal. No biggie, as long as that's configured into your purchase price.

Forgot about the mileage thing. I've never had a warranty expire for that reason. So...

Only a little over 2 years or 256 miles remaining on the warranty.

AP racing has a replacement steel rotor set. no need to replace the calipers. much less than 7K. i think i saw the add in excellence.

They use the mounting bells from the rear PCCB discs.

Not a bad solution if the discs were worn. The replacement discs
are about 8K/disc for fronts and 5700/disc for the rear.

Personally, I would just buy the set I am selling which comes with calipers.
A conversion to the red calipers plus cup rotors costs less than 3K.
