Cool color! I have a 1970 911S that the old guys in the PCA club say was painted "Minerva Blue." The car has been repainted but looks very similar to the GT3 in this thread. I always get favorable comments on this car's color.
thanks,

Hey, Richard, did you want a print?
Never heard back, let me know which one, and I'll make up a 12x18 for the office.

(ps, how much love is your car getting! Getting that car was such a great move, it may just be the most recognized and individual GT3 in the US now!)

I literally have at least three people a day come up to and say how much they love the car. It gives off a glow or something, kinda like an aura that people pick up on. The 2 was much more sinister.

I do want some prints. I'll send you an email with the ones I want. Thx.

I remember seeing a 928 in the late 70's near UCLA in Minerva Blue and thought it " glowed " . Nice to see it on a new 911 so many years later , still exuding that bright shimmer . PERFECT color for a bewinged car and the bright blue sky and ocean that is southern California .
Looks like that might be my next color . Does it add months to the build time ?

Do you know if it is also the only one with an interior finished in a color different to black?

Man! That is one beautiful car (along with the right engine!!!)

Carrera Mike: I believe that that is more of a zenith blue but i could be wrong.

macfly: would you mind sending me a copy of the higher res pics? (email to: thebrownguy@gmail.com). it would be much appreciated.

someone mentioned blood orange in the thread earlier on....what the heck does that look like...it must be nuts.

Carrera Mike, very nice Photoshop work, especially the sunflares.

Wachuko, I have never seen another one with a 'natural tan' but I have heard that there are a few others out there.

Beautiful car/color/images! The color reminds me of the Mystic Blue of our convertible.

Any chance the tiff files or large jpegs could be posted somewhere for download? My ISP will only deal with attachments of not much more than 1 meg....

Wow, I guess that's a color they kept for Europe as I've never seen one like that here, unless it is actually Richard's car with a sticky on German plate. Maybe they thought it was as pretty as we all do, and did some snaps before shipping it off to Otis? It sure looks like Richard's car, but I think his car has a more metallic luster giving it more dimension in the sunlight. I'd say it looks a bit more exciting than the car in that ad, which doesn't appear to have the same rich metallic luster.
