Question Source for Mobil Mobilube PTX 75W-90?

Does anyone have a source for this approved transmission oil? It is available from Porsche but the price seems high.

Certainly more than 3 quarts of oil.

It is just a synthetic oil. I don't think it is sold in the US other than a dealer. An independent shop I know uses Mobil 1 75W-90 synthetic gear oil which you can buy at a parts store.

Racerron you are right. Tool Pants yes that stuff is available and used but Mobilube PTX is a synthetic with a slightly different formulation. I guess $25/liter is not that bad given how long it lasts.

I changed out my fluid with the regular mobile 1 pictured and it made a difference. I also was searching for a "solution" to the marmalade shifting when cold etc. I also have the lsd so I can't use the blends of redline and others of one type. I did some reserach a while back and redline recommended blending 2 of their fluids which made me far too nervious to consider- that was the only solution I came up with given the lsd issue.

I thought Mobil One Synthetic Gear Lubricant was a GL-5 oil where a GL-4 oil was called for in our transmissions???

The 2003 cup car service manual recommends: "Mobilube 1 SHC". The weight is not given. The recommended change interval is 5000km. Assuming it is in fact 75W-90, here is its datasheet. It seems not to be readily available in the USA. Fixedwing, it is both GL4 and GL5, where the Mobil 1 lube in Tool Pants' post, which definitely has a different formulation, is only GL5.

From the 2003 911 GT3 Cup Parts Catalogue, the gearbox oil is Mobilube 1 SHC 75W-90. Motorsport part# 999.917.062.00
