Q's car is intresting, because in Europe at least the door bar is not available as a Porsche Motorsport part as there are not mouting points for this in the rear section of the cage.

This was altered for the MkII version as well as on my GT3 RS( although the RS cage is further developed was even more bars in the cage), where you have a "mounting ear" in the rear cage, but none in the front cage. However you can buy a front section with these door bars, as well as re-inforced front section from Motorsport at a cost of approx € 2500. I decided not to as the entry of the car would be very limited and my 194cm does not help either...

Any Porsche Center could help you.

Many Thanks!

Yes, taken this September. Looks like it must have been in the "Brunnchen" section.

Well, that maybe the case....., but I still maintain that the car was the issue

Hire car company messed me around - and I ended up with a 520i station wagon !!!

Suffice to say, I punished the poor thing

My friend's mk1 GT3 clubsport didn't come with that diaognal bar as well. Weren't the mk1 Gt3, also, built using the normal two wheel drive body shell? I think that only the mk2's were based on the carrera 4.

No, All Gt3's were/are built on the Carrera 4 shell. Just have a look in the front an see ow small the boot(trunk) is.

Just to add, I have a Mk1 clubsport in the UK and have the full cage, but not the door bars as in Q's pics - strange that the UK spec was different.
