this is an option designed for really tall people (read: freaks )

it allows more lateral knee room, also some people claim it allows for better heel toeing, even though i don't find a problem doing it with the console in

it also gives a more traditional porsche dash look (ie, not connected to the shifter area)

it's also one less thing to rattle and generally makes the passenger compartment seem more open.

Here is an interior pic of our GT2 with deleted console

This was my first Porsche and hence not really knowing what and what not to do, I sort of started buying parts to pass the time away while waiting for the car to arrive, one of the parts being the console delete kit.

This to me was a complete waste of money. I actaully like bracing my knee against the console. Even though I have the Euro GT3 seats I still like the extra bracing....so if anyone wants the kit, I got one cheap for sale.

At 6'4", the center console is a real pain, literaly. It sticks me on the side of my shin during longer drives and gets in the way when blipping the throttle. I like the open look too.
