Default hard to pick just one...

Cruise control is the one option I wish I had for those long interstate trips and group drives. Its difficult to keep off the loud pedal and maintain a steady speed.

Otherwise...
Full leather is a nice improvement on the interior, the xenons are great at night though they are targets for theft, and the thicker wheel feels great in your hands.

I also agree with Steve that the GT3 console delete is a must have.

Full Leather;
Xenons; and
Thicker Wheel.

All else is a subjective and to personal tastes. I did get a few more things mostly low dollar items with the exception of C/F doorsills, center console and handbrake/shifter which I felt was needed to spruce up the interior a bit. I could have lived w/o the alum dials and stitching but since this was my first P-car I dove in head first.

Please say more about this. I thought the console delete option available from Europe was cosmetic only. How does it make heel and toe easier (and I thought heel and toe on this car was much more toe and toe....)?

The GT3 console allows for more knee room. At 6'4", I find the additional room for my knee is necessary to get the proper foot position to blip the throttle pedal while on the brakes. Its also nice not having the console stick you in the outer shin while driving and gives the interior more of the classic 911 look.

leather, xenons, thicker wheel (mabye)

everything else is, as metalsolid put it so eloquently, fofo.

get aluminum / carbon parts if u want the bling factor, everything else is uneccessary

i'm surprised this hasn't spawned an argument about PCCB yet one mention of that word is usually enough to drop the hat on a class action lawsuit thread.

I agree with Metal & others about the value-cost etc, but that said these thing make the car feel nicer, and make it something nicer to own.

I have (added later for over 1K) the thicker wheel, it is much, much nicer, and worth the $$.
I have, and also like the Xenon's (came with the car).

I don't have, but wish I did, the full leather. The plastic looks/feels cheap and nasty, and doesn't seem right in such a costly car IMHO.

I am so relieved not to have self destructing PCCB's as I thought I wanted them when I bought the car. Thank heavens I couldn't find a car with them fitted, Phew!!!

I have added the GT3 seats, Tquipment rollbar & 5 point harness, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires and Pagid RS-19 brake pads. All these make it really great at the track, a big plus.

Now that we're also talking mods...clear sidemarker lights are a must for most colors (cheap and easy to do). I've also installed the Tequipment rollbar, GT3 seat and a 6-point harness.

Nitpicking perhaps, but there is no console delete option in Europe. It's the console that is optional.

The only option worth its price is the Clubsport package.

i am track illiterate, and i am looking at a GT3 right now for that purpose,

what exactly is the difference between a 4/5/6 point harness , besides the number of belts.

are certain belts required for entering certain events?, which is the best number to get, i would assume they are all about the same cost, and which to get depends on the application one plans to use them in?

i would assume that 6 points would 'cover all the bases?', since having more belts can't hurt as much as not having enough.?

Just approaching this from the US perspective, where there is no Clubsport option from Porsche, but I think the pieces can be had aftermarket. Those pieces are rollbar, console delete and "GT3" seats, right?

In Europe, is the console popular?

It must be since every Pcar I saw over there had it.

I personal like the console and don't like the look so much without it. I guess if I were taller I might have a different opinion. I'm not found of the cheapo cd holder that goes in it though.

I had thought the principal purpose of the console delete was to get rid of the CD holders which I agree are not attractive.

You can put anything in there it's kind of a universal sized slot. You could put another storage slot like the one underneith or some kind of stereo gear or even the HVAC controls. Since the GT3 doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the other cars it allways has the cd holder there but I believe in the Boxster S the stereo DSP goes there when you order the hi fi system.
